About This Role

As a Data Scientist, you will be a linchpin in their marketing team, leading the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of marketing and communication campaigns through the use of data.

This role demands a unique blend of analytical prowess, creative thinking, and a deep understanding of e-commerce metrics to scale client businesses effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Warehouse and Connectivity: Build pipelines that transfer data from analytical tools (Google Analytics), advertising platforms (Meta, Google) and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento) to owned data warehouse (BigQuery) for data analysis and visualization. 

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive revenue growth and performance improvements. 

  • Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement predictive models to forecast sales, customer behavior, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Optimization: Design and execute experiments to optimize pricing, marketing strategies, product recommendations, and customer segmentation.

  • Reporting & Visualization: Create clear and concise reports and data visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and IT, to implement data-driven solutions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance our data science capabilities continuously.


  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science, preferably within the e-commerce industry.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI).

  • Platform Expertise: BigQuery, Looker Studio, PowerBI, Google Analytics, etc.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with big data technologies.

  • Knowledge of A/B testing and experimental design.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, etc).
